§ 8-4. Recall election: City council to order.

  • The city council, by resolution or ordinance passed within ten (10) days after receiving the petition and certificate of the city clerk, shall order and fix the date for a recall election, which shall be held at the earliest date permitted under the laws of Oklahoma. The city clerk shall cause the resolution or ordinance ordering the election to be published in full in a newspaper authorized by law to publish legal publications within ten days after its passage; and such publication shall be sufficient notice of the election.
