§ 2-56. Basis for determining voting result; filing of reasons.

  • (a)

    All matters coming before the city council, whether they are ordinances, contracts, resolutions, or matters of parliamentary procedure, and on which a vote is taken, shall require a majority vote before said matter shall pass. A tie vote shall be considered "no decision."

    (b)

    Upon the conclusion of any vote so taken, any member of the city council shall have the right to have the reasons for his vote entered upon the minutes.
