§ 37-104. Emergency permits.
(a)
In emergency situations as defined in this section, an emergency public way permit shall be acquired. Any emergency excavation required to maintain the safety and well-being of the general public shall commence without delay. Notification must be provided to the City of Stillwater within two hours of the commencement of the work or at the next business day if the emergency situation occurs on a weekend, a holiday, or after hours. This notification shall consist of the following:
(1)
Anticipated date, duration, start and stop time, location (site address if possible), including nearest cross street;
(2)
Size of the obstruction and work area less any normal traffic control in advance;
(3)
Applicant's company name;
(4)
Contact information of contractor/subcontractors performing work;
(5)
Facility owner's name;
(6)
Local contact information; and
(7)
General description of the type of construction activity and facilities installed.
(8)
Proof of insurance and indemnification in accordance with section 37-95.
(b)
Holders of emergency public way permits shall coordinate with the city throughout the work and notify the city upon the completion of the work.
