§ 41-112. Application for service.

  • (a)

    The rates, rules and regulations prescribed in the terms and conditions of service adopted by resolution of the city council shall constitute and be considered a part of the contract with every person who is supplied with water from the waterworks system of the city, and every person hereinafter called the customer, who accepts and uses water shall be held to have consented to be bound hereby.

    (b)

    All applications for water service shall be made by the customer to the finance department and upon acceptance of the application, the department shall as promptly as practicable supply the customer with service in accordance with the terms and conditions of service.

    (c)

    No water service connection shall be permitted until it has been confirmed by the city that the public water supply system can provide, at the connection point, the minimum water pressure at the connection point, as set forth in the Stillwater Standards.

    Exception: A lot/parcel existing prior to October 21, 2017 shall be entitled to a single ¾-inch or 1-inch domestic water service connection, provided that:

    (1)

    All other requirements have been met;

    (2)

    It has been confirmed by the city that the public water supply system can provide the minimum water pressure at the connection point as set forth by the state; and

    (3)

    The connection does not cause the pressure in any location within the public water supply system to fall below the minimum pressure as set forth by the state.
