§ 41-240. Application and request for annexation.

  • (a)

    Every person desiring a water main extension or connection outside the corporate limits, shall make written application to the city manager requesting approval of such extension or connection.

    (b)

    The application shall be accompanied by a sketch or drawing of the tract of land to be served, the proposed location of the new main, the location of existing water mains in close proximity thereto, and the proposed point of connection to the existing water distribution system of the city.

    (c)

    The city shall not be obligated to provide water service to any person or entity whose property or premises may be located outside the corporate limits, except as provided under a written contract or agreement with a rural water district or corporation, municipality, or other public water provider.
