§ 41-692. Application for service.

  • (a)

    Any person desiring electricity or connection for electricity with the electrical generation and distribution system of the city shall make written application to the city in the office of the director of finance, ex officio city clerk.

    (b)

    Said application shall contain:

    (1)

    The name of the applicant;

    (2)

    The legal description of the property;

    (3)

    The type, kind or character of the building or structure; and

    (4)

    The name of the person who will be responsible for the account-billing, with mailing address and phone number, if available.

    (c)

    When the application is filed and the necessary deposit made, pursuant to the provisions of section 41-693, and an electric service charge is made in the amount of $10.00 for electric connection, the city shall have the premises inspected, and if premises are in conformance with the terms and conditions of service and applicable provisions of this Code, the application shall be approved and the necessary connections and installations shall be made. All applications, deposits, and fees required in this article shall be deposited with and made of record in the office of the director of finance, ex officio city clerk.
