§ 43-3. Registration required.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or cause to be operated any taxicab or vehicle for hire within the city unless the operator or owner of such vehicle shall have registered with the city clerk. Such registration shall be on a form prepared by the city manager in accordance with this section and shall be updated annually. The owner or operator of any taxicab or vehicle for hire operated within the city shall also file with the city clerk a certified copy of the operator or owners license issued by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, and update said copy whenever there is any amendment or revision to the license. The annual fee for registration shall be $10.00.

(b)

The operator of a bus as defined by 47 O.S. 1-105 shall comply with the registration requirements set forth in subsection (a), except that such operator shall not be required to file with the city clerk a copy of a license issued by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. In lieu of such license, said operator shall file with the city clerk the following:

(1)

Proof of liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 or greater;

(2)

The make, model, vehicle identification number, and license tag number of each bus operated within the City of Stillwater; and

(3)

The name, address, and drivers' license number of each bus driver employed by operator.

Operator shall update this information as a part of annual registration renewal.
