§ 29-201. Generally.

  • (a)

    It is a misdemeanor for any person to do any act forbidden or fail to perform any act required by this article.

    (b)

    The parent of any child and the guardian of any ward shall not authorize or knowingly permit any such child or ward to violate any of the provisions of this article.

    (c)

    As used in sections 29-201 through 29-213, the term "bicycle" shall include "electric-assisted bicycle" and "motorized bicycle" as defined in section 29-1 of this Code or as separately defined in Title 47 Oklahoma Statutes. The term "motorized scooter" shall include the term "motor scooter" as defined in section 29-1 or as separately defined in Title 47 Oklahoma Statutes.

    (d)

    These regulations applicable to bicycles and motorized scooters shall apply whenever a bicycle or motorized scooter is operated upon any street, alley, highway or upon any path set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles or motorized scooters subject to those exceptions stated herein.
