§ 2-80. Introduction of ordinances and resolutions.

  • Any ordinance or resolution may be introduced and sponsored by a member of the city council, the city manager, or city attorney and any member of the city council may assume the sponsorship thereof by moving same on first reading. Every ordinance shall be introduced in writing and after passage on first reading shall be made available for examination by any and all parties in the office of the city clerk. The city clerk shall maintain a record of each ordinance introduced to the city council and whether such ordinance was adopted.
