§ 41-648. Accumulation of yard trash.

  • (a)

    Yard trash shall not be deposited in said garbage containers. In all areas of the city where there are open unobstructed alleys wide enough for collection vehicles to travel with ease, said yard trash shall be placed at the alley lot line on the premises served so as to be immediately accessible to the collection vehicles. In all other areas of the city, said yard trash shall be placed at the front curb.

    (b)

    Yard trash, except tree limbs, and similar yard debris, shall be placed in a sturdy container not to exceed 35 gallons in volume or 50 pounds in weight. All tree limbs and similar yard debris shall be cut so as not to exceed six feet in length and 18 inches in diameter and 50 pounds in weight, and shall be placed in containers or securely tied in separate piles at the alley lot line or front curb as provided in subsection (a) of this section.
